benefits

Enjoy cedarwood's lovely, calming scent as an aromatherapy essential oil. I love it as a 100% natural way to make my entire home smell clean and woody, like a forest! Cedarwood oil has excellent deodorising and insect repellent properties. It also has astringent, calming, antiseptic and decongestant properties. Apart from soothing the mind and the body, cedarwood essential oil can also promote hair growth and reduce hair loss! It is said to have antifungal and antibacterial properties, and can be used to treat dandruff or hair loss, and balance the oil levels in the scalp.

How to Use

Himalayan cedarwood oil has a woody, warm, balsamic aroma, which makes it a great base note in perfumery. This oil is also extensively diffused, for its has excellent deodorising, insect repellent and calming properties. Add a few drops to your shampoo, especially if you're looking for relief from seborrhoeic dermatitis. You could also create a massage blend with lavender oil to help sleep better. Or you could add a few drops to a base balm or carrier like coconut oil to apply on minor wounds. Its antiseptic properties will help prevent the wound from getting infected. CEDARWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL DIFFUSER BLEND 2 drops of himalayan cedarwood oil 2 drops of orange oil 2 drops of spearmint oil

Sourced from

Sustainability is important to Ollie, so I sourced my cedarwood oil all the way from the Himalayas. Commonly known as deodar, this species of cedarwood is native to the Himalayan region. The oil is made by steam distilling stumps and roots from unused or fallen trees only. Thats right, no cedar tree is harmed in the making of our cedarwood oil!

Caution

Like all other essential oils, pure cedarwood essential oil is potent and should be used cautiously. Make sure to dilute it well with a carrier oil before applying it. Do not apply it to sensitive areas such as the eyes or lips or it could burn or severely irritate your skin!
